Here are some examples of real-live websites. These are sites that are used by individuals, corporations, schools, organizations - the list goes on. We are going to put them under the magnifying glass and examine them. We will examine things such as colour, layout, navigation, functionality, and usability. To remain consistent with the aim of this website, I am only evaluating and demonstrating the design and usability of these websites. I am in no way evaluating or judging the content of the sites. Please take note that websites often change and it can be difficult to keep up with them. The small screenshots on this page were taken at the time of review.
Remember, these reviews are based on the checklist. A website can still pass and be considered acceptable with a few of the minor violations, but all it takes is one violation from the "Mortal Sin" list for the site to fail. I have categorized between the good (a-okay!), the bad (hard or impossible to use), and the ugly (just plain ugly). Pick one below.
